Top 9 Conferences for Amazon Sellers in 2018
Those who follow the internet retail industry are well-aware of the potential marketplace Amazon presents to both high-volume vendors and first-time business owners.
While there are many ways–including webinars, blogs, news sites, and peer forums to stay educated on the latest issues and concerns for Amazon sellers–the sheer amount of information and sources can be difficult to parse.
Conferences are an essential way for vendors to stay up to date on the latest trends and gain mastery of the techniques necessary to refine their strategies and expand their sales.
While the Amazon conferences in 2017 are mostly over, we have a lot to look forward to in 2018.
Here are 9 of the best Amazon seller conferences to attend in 2018:
When: March 13-14, 2018
Where: Las Vegas Convention Center – Las Vegas, Nevada
What sets the Prosper Show apart is that it’s one of the few ecommerce conferences that is exclusive to Amazon vendors. Billed as a “continuing education conference for established Amazon sellers,” the content is curated for those with intermediate or advanced experience.
Prosper Show runs on a track system with concurrent sessions to meet the needs of both private labelers and advanced sellers. The event also includes an additional pre-day of workshops on March 12, 2018 at an extra cost.
The conference will culminate with noted small business guru Michael Gerber giving a keynote presentation entitled “Why Most Amazon Seller Businesses Don’t Work and What to Do About It!”
This bi-annual conference formerly known as the Sellers Conference for Online Entrepreneurs (SCOE) is among the oldest gatherings for online retailers.

Over 75% percent of past participants claim a substantial increase in their Amazon sales. Introductory talks include “Merch by Amazon: On-Demand Commerce” and “How to Build an Amazon Empire Starting from a Single Dime.”
This smaller annual event hosts around 400 Amazon vendors. The meetup includes a workshop for private labelers with a focus on optimizing current listings and promoting new product launches.

The Sellers Summit markets itself as “not your ordinary feel-good event” and is instead a “curriculum based experience.” The workshop is designed to operate on two main tracks: one for novices and one for pros.
The former will help fledgling businesses to identify potential sourcing vendors and develop a blueprint to scale their business. The latter will focus on advanced techniques such as search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click advertising (PPC), conversion optimization, and copywriting.
The event also features an exclusive mastermind meeting comprised only of sellers making over $250,000 a year. This will allow business owners to learn from and network with other successful entrepreneurs.
When: June 5-8, 2018
Where: McCormick Place West – Chicago, Illinois
The Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition (IRCE) is among the largest events of its kind. Open to businesses of all sizes and on a host of platforms, it attracts thousands of industry experts, exhibitors, and vendors each year.
Still, IRCE is an excellent option for Amazon vendors. Past conferences have included panels and advanced workshops on Amazon listing tactics, how to best utilize fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), and whether to operate as a first or third-party seller on the platform.
IRCE also offers introductory tutorials for those business owners just wading into the world of Amazon.
The 2018 iteration of this still-growing ecommerce event is partnering with Amazon’s Self Service Performance Advertising (SSPA) team, inclusive of Amazon Marketing Services (AMS) for vendors and sponsored products (SP) for sellers.
This conference helps Amazon vendors to understand the rules of selling and provides them with new strategies to grow their businesses. This event brings together a host of expert speakers and is open to novice and experienced sellers alike.

More intimate in scale, featuring roughly a dozen speakers and around 350 attendees, the UK Seller Conference offers a great chance to forge relationships with other growing businesses. This conference may be of particular interest to businesses considering selling in other countries.
Like many of these gatherings, the UK Seller Conference is designed with a track system to appeal to both beginners and high-volume sellers. Sellers should follow their website for more information on the 2018 event.
While it is often touted as one of the top conferences for ecommerce as a whole, Retail Global is an excellent option for FBA vendors because so much of their agenda is devoted to Amazon.
Past programming includes global supplier management and AMS strategies that can increase sales by $10,000 to $100,000 a month.
This event combines superb content (96% of attendees rated the quality of workshops as excellent) and wonderful networking opportunities (97% of conference-goers polled said this is a key reason they will re-attend).
