What’s the purpose behind the task at hand? Why have you planned the strategy you are currently executing? Why are you working the way you’re working? What’s your ultimate goal? Are your projects and work aligned to achieve those goals, or are you just working in a vacuum, producing things that help you stay afloat but don’t get you to the next level?

Are you generating tons of leads? Getting tons of sales? Working towards growing your business in a scalable way that is bigger than any one individual? Helping to instill an awesome culture that encourages employees to do more than what’s in their job description?

How do you get more people involved, excited, and happy?

It’s figuring out exactly why you’re doing what you’re doing and sharing that story with your peers.

If you don’t understand how each piece of work you do contributes to the bigger picture of why you are doing those things, you need to seriously reconfigure your business strategy.

Ask the hard questions. Give the hard answers. Be real with your strengths and weaknesses and attack them relentlessly.

Work towards better understanding the why behind every single task you do, and upgrade the way you see things, the way you treat people, the way you produce.

Then you can create an action plan. You have the why, now you can develop the how.

Why are you doing what you’re doing?

What are the tenants of the project you’re completing?

What are the ultimate input and output goals you are shooting to achieve? When will you do it? How?
